Network design
Designed, deployed and managed. Wired and wireless.
Networks designed on paper before anything is installed, built to the design, and managed afterwards. Site survey, documented topology, tested deployment and ongoing monitoring.
When to call us
- A new site, fit-out or expansion
- Wireless that doesn't reach, or drops
- A network that has grown without a plan
- Segmentation needed for compliance, guests or operational technology
- Performance problems nobody has isolated
How it works
- Site survey
Building, distances, containment, existing infrastructure.
- Design
Topology, addressing, segmentation, wireless coverage plan.
- Specification
Hardware selected for the site and requirement.
- Deployment
Deployment, configuration and testing.
- Handover
Documentation handover, then optional ongoing management.
Technical detail
- Core, distribution and access design at appropriate scale
- VLAN segmentation, inter-VLAN routing and access control
- Predictive and on-site wireless surveys with coverage and capacity planning
- Firewall, VPN and remote access configuration
- PoE budgeting and switch capacity planning
- Redundancy and failover where downtime justifies it
- Monitoring, alerting and capacity reporting on managed networks
- Full handover pack: topology diagram, addressing plan, configuration backup and credentials
Hardware is specified per site against requirement, budget and support position. We hold no manufacturer quota and no partner tier, so the specification is not predetermined.
Common questions
Which hardware do you use?
Whatever suits the site. We're vendor neutral, so that's a design decision rather than a supply decision.
Can you take over an existing network?
Yes. That starts with an audit and documentation, since most inherited networks have neither.
Do you manage it after installation?
If you want. Managed networks include monitoring, alerting, configuration backup and change control.
Will you work with our cabling contractor?
Yes, though we also do the cabling — usually simpler when one party owns both.
